Vulnerability Details : CVE-2022-41142
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Centreon. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of requests to configure poller resources. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges to the level of an administrator. Was ZDI-CAN-18304.

The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.Assigned by:
